Have a look at the highlights:
The Spitfire Company, a top international modern dance group, at Palác Akropolis on Feb. 22. This venue is, by the way, one of the most interesting stages for contemporary art, and that not just in Prague. On February 27 US-Japanese indie-rock singer Mitski has her debut at Prague’s meetfactory. And if you want it totally different, have a look at the incredible steam punk design of Cross Club. A 10 minute walk from Cross Club is DOX, Prague’s no. 1 contemporary art gallery. DOX has several exhibitions running simultaneously, the most interesting one at the moment is most probably “Havel”, a photo story of the late playwright and president of the republic.
Archa Theatre, one of the theatres with what they call “English friendly” performances, brings street art on stage on February 22, 23 and 24, and on March 2 John Mayall plays his Blues there.
The National Theatre has La Bohème, Le nozze di Figaro or The Magic Flute in its repertory. The National Museum has a fabulous Retro exhibition running, and the Agnes Monastery, the National Gallery’s department for medieval art, has renovated and turned its courtyard into a wonderful sculpture garden.
And this is just a very small selection of all there is.
At ARCO Guesthouse you get all the information about whatever is happening in Prague. In addition to this, we have books, videos and plenty of written information for our guests.
